Use this page when the extension is installed but not behaving as expected.
Start with the basic checks first, because most issues are caused by an old
extension state, a stale browser tab, or a page that has not been reloaded.
Extension not working after install or update
Refresh the target page
Reload the page where you are testing the extension, then start the video
again.Reopen the browser tab
Close the current tab, open it again, and test once more.Reinstall the extension if needed
If the extension still does not work, uninstall it, install the latest
version again, and reopen Chrome.
If a video shows a playback error in the popup, try playing another video that
works first, then go back to the original video and play it again. The same
workaround can also help when downloading.
Test M3U8 Downloader Pro with a known working page
Here is a simple example you can try:
- Open https://x.com/NBA/status/2033047587419279799.
- Click the
M3U8 Downloader Pro button in the browser toolbar.
- Select a video in the popup, then play it or download it.
No stream is detected
If the extension opens correctly but does not detect a playable stream:
- Start the video first so the M3U8 request has a chance to appear.
- Wait a few seconds and check the extension again.
- Test another page to confirm whether the issue is page-specific.
- Keep in mind that DRM-protected content or hidden playlist requests may not be supported.
